Moving Day!

Type: Action
Had and exciting (but exhausting) day today at the Business Incubator moving all the robotics supplies from our old room to the new one. We separated supplies, boxed and moved them for a solid 4 hours. It was all worth it though, because we got rid of junk that had been accumulating, and now everything is more orderly. We are ready to start the season!!! for more information on the robotics league, please check out : thehifives.co. I'm excited to be in (and maybe lead?) the marketing team, which is probably my strong suit out of the many different positions they offer. Here's a pic I took of the machine shop :) (there's also a design and marketing room, not shown) :

Conquering

Type: Action

This last Friday my FBLA club and I had an adventure climbing up Mount Garfield as a team building experience. Not only did I get to know each of my team members a little bit better, but I got to see my improvement and perseverance in climbing the mountain since the first time I tried it in 8th grade, then this last summer. I was surprised by the kindness that one of my friends showed, and the strength that another showed. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely do it again! Team leadership is important, and this definitely helped me improve on that!

Starting off

CAS: Creativity, Action, Service Project

Project Leaders: Andrea Chamorro, Cheyenne Bigler, Mindy Mazza

Our mission: Making the days of elderly people in nursing homes around the valley a little brighter by incorporating the company of young people into their lives.

  • Cheyenne Bigler will be leading fundraising and awareness campaigns for the organization.
  • Andrea Chamorro will be leading the administrative aspect, coordinating events with nursing home administration, etc.
(subject to change)

Immediate goals:
  1. Make connections (underway)
  2. Contact nursing homes and identify ones with most potential
  3. Plan increased membership
